What to include in your message
Questions about a calculator
Tell us which calculator you used, the tax year and where you live, and what you expected to see. To show us your figures, use "Copy shareable link" in the calculator and paste the link into your message. Your figures are written into that link, so only send it if you are happy for us to see them.
Reporting an error
Send us the address of the page, the figure or sentence you think is wrong, and a link to the GOV.UK, HMRC or gov.scot page that shows the correct position if you have one.
Asking about our Self Assessment service
Tell us briefly what you would like help with, such as how many properties you let and whether you have filed a Self Assessment tax return before. You can read about the Self Assessment tax return service before you get in touch.
Keep sensitive details out of your message
Please do not send us your bank details, your National Insurance number, your Unique Taxpayer Reference or copies of tax documents. Neither the form nor email is a secure way to send them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle the messages you send.
